What the warranty covers
Our Slumberzone Beds are covered by a 10 year warranty
- Broken or loose support elements.
- Wires that are loose, broken, or protruding through the fabric.
- Body indentations of over 35mm.
- Loose grid top.
- Faulty bases/drawers.
Trundler Bridge:
- Maximum weight limit: 80 Kg
- Breakages not covered after 3 months of purchase.
Warranty Conditions
- The warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear or damage caused by abuse, misuse, or negligence.
- Slumberzone New Zealand reserves the right to refuse to service a mattress when it is found to be in an unsanitary condition or when product failures are found to be due to factors other than faulty workmanship or materials.
- Slumberzone New Zealand advises that a mattress protector should be used at all times. Under Health & Safety guidelines, the warranty is void if there are any stains on the mattress.
- Slumberzone New Zealand reserves the right to substitute alternative/identical materials if the original is no longer available.
- Any defect in the fabric should be brought to the notice of the retailer within two weeks of purchase. Beyond this, fabric warranty will not be eligible as it would be considered as “wear & tear”.
The Warranty does NOT cover
- Small manufacturing irregularities that do not affect the performance of the bed.
- Normal body indentations of up to 35mm. This can be measured by removing all sheets and placing a straight edge, such as a broom stick, across the mattress and then measuring the gap between the stick and the surface of the mattress.
- Change in comfort is not covered under our warranty as it is natural for weight pressure on the foam and springs to soften the mattress over the use of time.
- Damage of mattress or foundation due to abuse.
- Damaged edge supports due to a mattress not being transported flat or vertical.
Mattress damage or comfort issues due to incorrect base or insufficient support (where the customer has supplied their own base). - Beds purchased from non-authorized retailers or establishments and products received as promotional gifts or giveaways.
- New bed smell/odour, comfort preference, sheet fit, or bedding height.
- Handles where applicable (they are designed for positioning of the mattress but not take the weight of the mattress).
- Threads pulling out over a period of time are not covered under warranty as it comes under normal wear & tear.
- The warranty is limited to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Sleepwell Beds
What the warranty covers
Our Sleepwell beds are covered by either a 5 or 10 year warranty which will be displayed on your invoice.
- Mattress: Coils or border wires that are loose or damaged (not inclusive of damage caused by rolling or folding the mattress). Coils or wires that protrude or tear through the fabric
- Foundation: Splitting of the wooden platform base. Leg and castor/glide failure
Warranty Terms & Conditions
- Sleepwell NZ is committed to its obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Although our products are constructed to the highest possible standards, in very occasional situations manufacturing faults can occur. Should this happen, please contact the store where the bed was purchased. If a manufacturing fault is identified, we will replace or repair the defective mattress and/or foundation within a reasonable period of time, as limited by the warranty. For this warranty to be applicable, you must be the original purchaser from an accredited New Zealand supplier and proof of purchase is required
- Please note that we recommend you allow up to 30 days for your body to adjust to the feel and support of your new sleep set
- Body depressions are normal and indicate that the comfort layers are conforming to your body’s individual contours. To help reduce body impressions, we recommend that you rotate your mattress regularly. This will also extend the life of your sleep set

Warranty Terms & Conditions
Upholstery & Timber
We offer a 2-year warranty on our timber and upholstered products against manufacturing defects. However, fabric care is up to you—be sure to follow the fabric care labels attached to your product.
Fabrics & Finishes
Natural variations in wood, leather, and other materials are part of their charm and aren’t considered defects. We don’t guarantee colorfastness or the exact matching of colors, grains, or textures.
Exclusions
These warranties don’t cover normal wear and tear, or any damage caused by abuse, accidents, misuse, soiling, negligence, tampering, acts of God, or terrorism. Kiwi Home Store isn’t liable for any consequential or incidental damages, like loss of use or damage to personal property.
Our warranties are valid only for home use by the original purchaser and don’t apply to commercial, office, or other non-residential settings. Transportation costs aren’t covered.
NZ Made Dining Tables
Each piece carries their hallmark of quality in both materials and construction. Tables generally have a ten year warranty against faulty materials and workmanship, while chairs have a 5 year warranty. This excludes fabrics and fair wear and tear and does not apply to a commercial application.
Headboards
What the warranty covers
Head Boards are protected with a limited warranty of 24 months on the frame.
- Any manufacturing defect in the headboard frame.
- Any fault in the fabric. In case of any fault in stitching, please notify the store in the first two weeks of purchase as a stitching issue beyond 2 weeks would be considered as regular “wear & tear”
Not covered under warranty
- Broken headboard frame due to mishandling or misuse.
- Stitching issues reported after 2 weeks of purchase.
- Threads pulled out as regular wear & tear.
- Stains / cuts / lint formation on fabric.
